About 20,000 Australians tolerating character 2 diabetes will be able to swap twice daily infusions for a weekly medicine, and save around $1,600 per year under a brand-new medication to be placed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme( PBS ).
Federal Health Minister Sussan Ley announced the brand-new diabetes medicine Exanatide will be subsidised for the purposes of the PBS from September 1, along with an extra $70 million investing in the arrangement for a cervical cancer remedy and a medicine for a uncommon growing disease.
" This is easier, it's less costly and most importantly for parties with type 2 diabetes, up to 20,000 who can benefit from this medicine, it will avoid long term complications ," Ms Ley said.

Shadow Health Minister Catherine King welcomed the schedules, but answered Ms Ley was not telling the full narrative when it came to the PBS.
" She wants to utter remedies unaffordable for a whole series of other patients ," Ms King said.
" What this Government is intending to do is increase the cost of the pharmaceutical assistances, your every script, by$ 5 for general both patients and $0.80 for concessional patients.
" We know already that there are still patients who are not replenishing their dialogues because they can't render to do so.
" They're going to the pharmacist and pronouncing' which one of these can I render ... to do without this week ?', because of[ the] expense previously ."
